Description

Island Escape is the most laidback ship in the fleet, taking a more informal approach to life at sea. On the activities front, you can enjoy everything from pampering spa treatments and sports, to salsa classes and fruit carving demonstrations. And at night, it’s all about side-splitting stand-up comedy, live bands and cabaret. As for restaurants, there are three to choose from, two of which offer bumper buffet spreads. Add an internet café, kids’ club and several bars into the mix, and it’s no wonder guests keep coming back for more.

All inside cabins with parallel twin beds can be converted to a Queen size double bed. Four berth cabins have twin beds and two upper berths which fold down. Deluxe cabins vary between 181-209 square feet. Please note: The view from deluxe cabins is partially obstructed by lifeboats.
	Deluxe Balcony (DLXBAL) Deluxe cabins have two single beds which can be converted to a Queen size double bed. The sofa converts to a bed and can comfortably accommodate a third person. All deluxe cabins are fully air-conditioned and have one or two picture windows, 2 full length wardrobes, occasional chairs and table, colour TV and en suite bathroom. Deluxe cabins vary between 181-209 square feet. Please note: The view from deluxe cabins is partially obstructed by lifeboats.
	Grand Suite (GRDSUI) The modern, spacious and well-appointed suites have a king-size bed, a separate lounge area and en suite bathroom. Each air-conditioned suite is equipped with a bar area, picture window, colour TV and internet access point (requires own personal laptop). The sofa converts to a bed and can comfortably accommodate a third person. Suite size is 318 square feet.
	Premier (PREM2) Premier cabins offer two single beds which can be converted to a Queen size double bed. Each spacious air-conditioned cabin has a picture window, wardrobe and drawer space, occasional chairs and table, colour TV and en suite bathroom with shower or bath and WC. Cabin sizes vary between 160-181 square feet.

Cruise Line

Initially founded as a joint venture between First Choice and Royal Caribbean, Island Cruises set out to bring a fresh approach to cruising and attract new and diverse customers to the exciting world of cruise line holidays.

There first season began back in the summer of 2002 with the Island Escape cruise liner delighting holidaymakers in the Mediterranean and Brazil. Since then Island have successfully improved the service provided to customers looking for cruise holidays.

Island have always aimed to provide there customers with a relaxed, friendly & informal cruise experience, pioneering the ideals which have made cruise holidays the fastest growing travel sector in the UK. The friendly service Island are now famous for has helped to cement there position as the natural choice for first time cruisers & seasoned veterans alike.

In 2007 First Choice merged with travel company TUI to become TUI Travel. The new company kept its 50 percent stake in Island Cruises with Royal Caribbean maintaining the other 50 percent.

This was our first cruise. We where not disappointed. The Ship was more than we expected. The ships officers and staff where superb. The cruise itself was brilliant, we cruised for 1 week then stayed in Palma, we should have cruised for the 2 weeks. We said we would cruise again with Island cruises, we are in September 2011, same ship different ports of call. A real pleasure to sail on. For the prices great value. Roy Mitchell.
